How it works
SOBEREYE uses a visor to take a video of the eye and evaluate impairment risk, due to extreme fatigue, sleep deprivation, alcohol, drugs (legal, illegal or prescription), by measuring alterations of the individual Pupillary Light Reflex (PLR).
The visor makes it easy to self-test and allows PLR measurements to be taken under controlled light conditions (near darkness).
Since PLR varies from person to person, SOBEREYE initially establishes a baseline for each user. Subsequently new PLR measurements are compared against the individual’s baseline to measure PLR alteration and detect impairment risk.
Iris recognition verifies the user’s identity allowing the system to be used remotely and without supervision.
Real time results
Test results are available in about a minute, are displayed on the smartphone and sent to the web-based software dashboard. In case of High Risk result an immediate notification is also sent to designated supervisors.
